Composing in Rome/Sardinia/Naples, Italy
I will be moving around for a series of events and am looking forward to returning after two years to the beautiful city of Rome and enjoying some new locations this time. These geographic regions of Italy will be the inspiration for set design and some musical material for my new operetta and final DMA Project at TTU.
The libretto by Jada Campbell and David Box looks into the subject matter of dissociative identity disorder and weaves a plot worthy of the stage.
Splice Institute at Western Michigan University
SPLICE Institute is a week-long, intensive summer program for performers, composers, and composer-performers interested in music that combines live performance and electronics.
The application process is now closed. Plan ahead for next year and come see the concerts during the festival this year. It will make you look forward to participating next summer.

Electronic Music Dance Collaboration w Ryleigh Demontalvo
Join us for a world premiere and video performance recording of a new electronic music work by composer David Box with dance and choreography by Ryleigh Demontalvo. The performance will take place on April 4th in the Creative Music Studio at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.

TTU 24 x 24 Workshop
All professional composers deal with tight deadlines and the many complexities it can create during the artistic process. The annual TTU 24 x 24 Workshop is a wonderful way to get involved with composing a piece within 24 hours for a random instrumentation. This event is hosted by the Texas Tech University Student Chapter of the Society of Composers, Inc. Both composers and performers currently enrolled in the TTU School of Music may participate.
